Uses of music by women to address effects of war

The Oregon Music Therapy Social Justice book club is reading the book Our Bodies, Their Battlefield, which tells stories of how women are treated during times of war and genocide. We discovered some videos of how women are using music to recover from their traumas.

    Ted, Briefly

    Ted Ficken is a writer, speaker, and college professor. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from Oregon State University, and bachelor's and master's degrees in music therapy from the University of Kansas. Additional credentials include being a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a Music Therapist - Board Certified and licensed (MT-BC/L). He currently teaches online for George Washington University's (GWU) Masters of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program in Washington, DC.
